Eivør is one of the most distinctive voices to emerge from the Nordic music scene, an artist whose work bridges ancient tradition and contemporary sound. Raised in the Faroe Islands, her music is deeply shaped by the stark landscapes and communal singing culture of her homeland, where music is both ritual and everyday expression.
Blending elements of Nordic folk, cinematic composition and modern production, Eivør has built a genre-defying catalogue across 11 studio albums. Her sound moves fluidly between the primal and the refined, combining raw vocal techniques, atmospheric textures and rhythmic intensity. In 2021, she was awarded the Nordic Council Music Prize, recognising her unique artistic voice and contribution to contemporary music.
Alongside her solo work, Eivør has gained international recognition for her compositions for film, television and games, including The Last Kingdom and God of War, where her voice and writing have helped define expansive, emotionally driven sound worlds.
Eivør is an established international live artist, having toured extensively across Europe, North America, Australia and New Zealand in recent years. Following the release of her latest album ENN, she has continued to grow her global audience through major headline touring. Her live performances are known for their intensity and emotional depth, translating the physical and atmospheric qualities of her music into a powerful on-stage experience.
Eivør’s music occupies a dark, atmospheric space shaped by cinematic composition, ambient electronic elements and touches of alternative and Nordic -influenced sound. Rooted in tradition yet distinctly contemporary, her work carries a strong emotional undercurrent and a sense of physical presence. Now signed to Nuclear Blast, her latest music marks the beginning of a new chapter, more direct, intimate and sonically focused, while retaining the depth that defines her work.
midori jaeger is a London-based cellist and songwriter originally from Japan. Her music has been championed by The New York Times, BBC Radio 3, BBC 6 Music, KEXP, CLASH and Line of Best Fit.
This year she releases (Un/Re)planted, a concept EP written at the cello, depicting uprootedness and mixed cultural identity. The cello itself is an instrument that was once a living tree plucked from the earth.
In parallel, the songs express midori's own journey as a child growing up in multiple continents, uprooted and forced to build roots on different soils. midori is a globally in-demand collaborative multi-instrumentalist, including recent live performances with Imogen Heap, Jessie Ware, Courtney Pine, Patrick Watson, Daughter and Christian Löffler.
